FacilitiesWe own all of our servers, and they are housed at world-class co-location data centers in Bellingham, WA, Everett, WA and Seattle, WA. This provides guaranteed 24/7/365 uninterrupted power, network performance and security. The facility itself is protected by triple keycard and code protected doors monitored 24 hours a day, and a biometric retinal scan. Once inside, fire protection is provided by a state of the art fire suppression system using FM200 clean agent. All our server cabinets are well ventilated, seismically braced, locked down and secure. Network and Server InfrastructureWe have a full duplex 100baseTX ethernet connection to the data centers gigabit ethernet backbone, the equivalent of almost 70 T1 connections. As demand increases, we can upgrade quickly to a faster connection to the internet backbone. We are running Dell PowerEdge, Apple Xserve and f5 Big-IP Load Balancing servers. All of our systems are interconnected using high speed, non-blocking, managed ethernet switches supplying our servers with full-duplex 100baseTX or Gigabit ethernet depending on need/service each system is utilized for. We also utilize managed uninterruptible power modules for all our servers. Our f5 Big-IP Load Balancing servers can detect a large server load, and automatically distribute the incoming connections evenly to all our web servers. SecurityOur staff is highly trained and very acute to the security needs of our customers. All of our servers are behind a high quality and well tuned Cisco firewall to protect your investment. Servers are always kept up to date with all the latest security updates. Web ServersPrimary web servers are all Dell PowerEdge dual processor systems running Fedora Linux. Our team always ensures all of our servers are running the most secure operating system releases available, for performance, features and security. Database ServersPrimary database servers are all Dell PowerEdge dual processor systems running Fedora Linux. The systems are constantly monitored and tuned to provided the highest level of database performance to handled the needs of our clients. All of our web servers are tied to our database servers using 2nd ethernet ports on a private, high-speed switched ethernet network strictly for database traffic. This is to allow the best performance for passing information between the web servers and database servers. E-mail Servers
Our primary e-mail servers are running Communigate Pro, a commercial high performance e-mail server software on Dell PowerEdge servers. The primary server is backed up hourly to the secondary server for close to real-time redundancy, and fast replacement in the event the primary server fails for any reason. In addition, backups are run to a large archival backup server daily from the secondary e-mail server for longer backup storage, and even more e-mail redundancy.
BackupsAll servers are backed up daily, including database files, to an auto rotating tape backup system. Our live data is stored on a RAID5 array (for speed and redundancy). Plus we have "Warm" Stand-by servers in place to provide minimal interruption in service in the event of a complete system failure. System Monitoring
Web Site StatisticsAll of our web hosting clients are provided detailed web visitor analysis of their web sites log files using AW Stats. AW Stats is a highly accurate, easy to use tool that provides superior reporting, and a slick browser-based interface, all wrapped up by a multilingual interface. Reports in 25 languages, on the fly, including: English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Swedish, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Taiwanese, Ukrainian, Russian, and more, all user selectable. Service availability for all of servers are monitored by a paging system that will instantaneously notify our technicians of any problems 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
